Multiple Job Classes

Multiple Job Classes allows you to allocate work by different types of maintenance

Would you like a separate report that allocates each work project into job classes? To achieve this, turn on the Multiple Funding Streams feature. 

1.  What are Multiple Job Classes?

Multiple Funding Streams allow you to apply a job class to each planned work project.  For example, most blocks in every school will have carpets or vinyl that will need to be replaced at some time.  And for bigger schools, there will inevitably be expenditure budgeted for floor coverings every year of the term of the LTMP. 

A separate report of all your planned carpet and vinyl costs provides the maintenance team and their preferred suppliers with a good understanding of the amount of money to be spent on floor coverings.

Other Job Classes could be created for repainting, grounds maintenance, heat pumps, etc.   

2.  If you would like to use Multiple Job Classes

The Multiple Job Classes feature is turned on by selecting a radio button behind the Plan Settings Panel in the Dashboard for your school's account. 

Once the feature is activated, you can add as many different Job Classes as you like and use your own naming conventions.  

At the time of having us set up your LTMP, we will discuss this with you and set them up as required.  They can be renamed, deleted, or new ones added later if required.  

3.  Reporting and Reviewing

Within your LTMP, there will be a table listing all the jobs planned along with the projected cost and the year the work is planned.  But if you want to see these jobs listed under their separate job classes, you will need to print another separate report (or we can supply this for you).  Your LTMP will be quite a lengthy document with just the primary data, and we've learned it's best not to clutter it with data listed under different categories.

So, if you would like a separate report that lists your planned work in different Job Classes, just ask us to turn on the feature.
